From the first interview to the last prayer card Cunningham’s is excellent. Naples, FL, and as his only next of kin, I reside in Northern Virginia. Gary was getting ready to pick up the casket at Reagan National Airport on Friday, March 19th. I called on Thursday, March 18th. I wanted to be able to do something to honor my Dad appropriately.
This is the fee for the embalming process. Embalming is generally not required if proper refrigeration is available. The funeral home is quite nice inside, compared to any other funeral home I have been to in the past. Our funeral director, Jae, did an amazing job coordinating the arrangements for visitation and with Quantico National Cemetery, where my father was buried. In addition, their prices were quite a bit lower than the other funeral homes in the area. In every manner our expectations were greatly exceeded. When we went in to discuss details the lady we went was not accommodating and rude. Gary Maxwell, the funeral director for Cunningham Turch happened to witness all this and while he started off by trying to assist the other company, we ended up switching our needs and using his.
A burial vault is required for most cemeteries, but you may choose to purchase one online or elsewhere, if you'd wish. He is very professional yet very compassionate about his job. When I went to the funeral home on Monday to pick up the death certificates and my husband's ashes, I encountered a grieving family, there to make the necessary funeral arrangements. In our lowest moments, Gary and the team were Heaven sent. They went over and above, all the way to assisting with necessary documents required by two different embassies. Even after the service, Gary still helped with whatever was required to repatriate my Aunt's remains. I should not forget to mention how great they were with my children.

That’s an achievement in this world of too casual and disrespectful vs snooty and officious. One of the best things they did for us was a last minute change, pulled off with finesse. No extra charge or even a moment’s pause. PLUS, the family having opted to not have a visitation before the funeral, I personally wanted to see my Dad. Necessary information can be found in the annual "Guide to Jewish Life" published by The Washington Jewish Week. On the family's request, FD will furnish one or more suitable limousines and drivers for a minimum of four hours, at a charge that will be passed through from the limousine company.
