When I went to the funeral home on Monday to pick up the death certificates and my husband's ashes, I encountered a grieving family, there to make the necessary funeral arrangements. Told them about my experience and that they had made an excellent decision in choosing Cunningham. In hearing that, I'm sure they were a little bit less apprehensive about what they were about to experience themselves. Of this year we were told that my 95 year old father-in-law was nearing his final months of life. I then began our search for a funeral home. In addition, Cunningham Turch really understands the needs of a military family.

Experiencing an accelerated decline in health and had barely begun home hospice care. In less than 24 hours of being at home, I was calling funeral homes for arrangements to transport our loved one to another state for burial. I first spoke to Brenda then Gary, both of them were caring and thoughtful.

Arrangements in place, I was forced to choose a funeral home for him to rest mere minutes after his death. Fortunately, my daughter did some quick research and found Cunningham Turch for which I am still extremely grateful. Cunningham Turch was a godsend for my family.

1 star being a poor experience, 5 stars being an excellent experience. We had hired another funeral home when my husband passed. They dropped the ball and left us in the lurch. They backed out two days before the funeral. This is the cost to purchase a casket from the funeral home. You may choose to purchase a casket online or elsewhere, if you'd wish.

We are extremely grateful for all they have done, making this difficult time a lot easier to navigate through. Called Ms Turner, she emailed paperwork to be completed. We had planned on going in the following day to complete arrangements. Their phone was answered promptly. When we arrived at 9 a.m., they had people at the hospital to pick her up.

Staff did not pressure us to high price options. They were willing to listen to what we wanted and respond appropriately. I hope I don't have to use funeral services often, but when I need them, I will gladly turn to Cunningham again. In no event will there be a separate charge for professional services. Use of the FD's premises 24 hours per day including Sundays, for ritual washing and watching of the body and a restroom for the people involved. Ritual washing includes cleaning the body and stopping bleeding, dressing the body in a shroud set , placing it into the casket, and closing the casket.

FD will not attempt to sell any upgrade merchandise or services to the bereaved. The FD agrees that when a bereaved member of any congregation contacts it, it will inform the person designated by the congregation or the Rabbi of the congregation. The FD will also inform the bereaved of the designated congregational contact or the rabbi.

My cousin visited two other businesses prior to entering your establishment when she arrived from TN. Your staff was so understanding and although we didn't know what my uncle had available, he began immediately helping her figure out where to start. As I stated the entire staff was professional and the day of the funeral at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park became a memorable moment for all the family members who where able to travel to VA. It was not difficult to write this review. And Kyle manage to be warm and friendly without losing dignity.

From the first interview to the last prayer card Cunningham’s is excellent. Naples, FL, and as his only next of kin, I reside in Northern Virginia. Gary was getting ready to pick up the casket at Reagan National Airport on Friday, March 19th. I called on Thursday, March 18th. I wanted to be able to do something to honor my Dad appropriately.

This is the fee for the embalming process. Embalming is generally not required if proper refrigeration is available. This is the fee for the funeral home to come pick up your loved one and bring him/her to the funeral home for preparation. Time in my life, Brenda was able to make me laugh. Our funeral director, Jae, did an amazing job coordinating the arrangements for visitation and with Quantico National Cemetery, where my father was buried. In addition, their prices were quite a bit lower than the other funeral homes in the area. In every manner our expectations were greatly exceeded. When we went in to discuss details the lady we went was not accommodating and rude. Gary Maxwell, the funeral director for Cunningham Turch happened to witness all this and while he started off by trying to assist the other company, we ended up switching our needs and using his.

A burial vault is required for most cemeteries, but you may choose to purchase one online or elsewhere, if you'd wish. He is very professional yet very compassionate about his job. He made the whole process so much easier to deal with. My family has been dealing with Cunningham's for many years and now I understand why.
